General orientation is conducted once a month and is a day and a half in length. Orientation usually begins on a Monday and is completed by noon on Tuesday.

Float nursing staff only attend the second morning of general orientation and must complete nursing orientation.
Nursing orientation is conducted twice a month and covers computer training, equipment, policies and procedures, competency testing and interfaces staff with other departments such as laboratory, cardiopulmonary, pharmacy and rehabilitation services.
